Endoscopy Unit Management in the 21st Century
Third Annual Endoscopy Unit Directors Meeting

All hospital based endoscopy directors and nurse managers are invited to contact Firas Al-Kawas, MD (alkawasf@gunet.georgetown.edu) or William R. Brugge, MD (wbrugge@partners.org) for further information and registration. Attendance is limited. 

The meeting is organized by Georgetown University Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in collaboration with the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Key lectures by national faculty will be complemented by small group discussions.

Lombardi CancerLine, answered by a certified oncology nurse, is a service of Georgetown's Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only comprehensive cancer center designated by the National Cancer Institute in the Washington, D.C., area. Patients call CancerLine to ask about cancer screenings, diagnosis and treatment options, and referrals to physicians and community resources.

Physicians: You can be connected to a Lombardi Cancer specialist you identify for consultation and referral or the nurse can recommend the appropriate faculty physician.

Georgetown Medical Directory: (202) 342-2400
Georgetown M.D. (Medical Directory) is a free telephone service created by the Medical Center to help patients find the physician who best meets their personal and medical requirements.

Your patients can call (202) 342-2400 to reach a referral nurse counselor who can assist them with their health care referral needs. The nurse counselor will listen to their concerns and answer their questions about the resources available at Georgetown University Hospital. The nurse can also help them register for health education classes, send them health information brochures, and provide information about prescription and over-the-counter medications and clinical trials.

The Georgetown Physician Update is an informative bimonthly publication containing news of interest about Georgetown University Hospital for physicians by physicians.
